Itineris wins big again

After a successful 2016 saw Itineris win a number of awards, we are taking 2017 by storm with another two major accolades being awarded to the Sitefinity website we implemented for Demelza Hospice Care for Children.

At the 2017 Digital Awards Champions ceremony on 9 February, the Demelza website was voted Champion in the School, Education or Charity category, beating out tough competition from organisations such as Alzheimer’s Research UK, Havering College and Bishop’s Stratford College. The exclusive Champions Award was only eligible to Gold Digital Award winners, which we scooped up in June 2016.

Yet another prize went to our Demelza website on 28 February, as Itineris was awarded the 2016 Sitefinity Website of the Year in the Healthcare category. Since its inception in 2011, the Website of the Year awards have been recognizing Progress Sitefinity-powered websites for creativity, design, user experience, functionality and overall website presentation. Demelza’s website takes full advantage of the responsive nature of the Sitefinity platform and uses the personalisation features to create bespoke user journeys for their different audiences.

Demelza Hospice provides specialist care and support to babies, children and young people who have life-threatening or life-limiting conditions, while also supporting the whole family. With a focus on multimedia content like images and video, Demelza’s Sitefinity website tells stories that dispel the myth that that children’s hospice care is consumed with sadness.

“Our aim was to produce a vibrant, eye-catching site which captured what Demelza is all about – life. We have allowed the emotive images of our children and our care to do the talking and are absolutely delighted that we have received recognition with both of these awards,” said Tessa Paton, Head of Marketing at Demelza.

With its fully exposed API, featuring full event management and payment, appeal modules, lottery signup with number checking, integrated donation, social wall and many other features, Sitefinity is the leading choice for charities looking to stay ahead of the digital curve.
