These results come from understanding objectives, establishing a strategy and implementing it creatively. Winning an award in both a website design and build project and a digital services campaign at the Digital Impact Awards 2025 underlines our wide array of strengths across multiple sectors.

Gold: Best Use of Digital in the Education Sector

Anglia Ruskin University Distance Learning

The higher education landscape has become increasingly competitive, as more players move into the online market. It’s in this space that Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) is carving out its place as a forward-thinking institution with a global reach. Our mission was to vastly boost course income and an ambitious return on investment of 687%.

The campaign we ran more than doubled the lead target. Generating 111% above the initial target. By optimising channel mix, creative and conversion paths, we massively cut down the CPA to only £22.41, 53% below the £47 target.

Most importantly, this performance directly translated into impact. An outstanding ROI of 1,146% was generated – a 67% improvement on the target.

This campaign has been a game changer for our team, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together. It wasn’t just about hitting targets – it was about pushing boundaries and proving to ourselves what’s possible. Not only did we exceed every goal, but we also built a scalable digital foundation that will continue delivering impact for years to come.

Setting the standard for the category

Anglia Ruskin’s University’s Distance Learning division provides career-enhancing flexible undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to learners worldwide. It wanted to ensure that its curriculum and digital portal were competitive against some of the biggest names in the global higher education space. It worked with Itineris to boost student numbers and promote ARU as a leader in digital learning.

The entire digital advertising and marketing setup was reimagined, ensuring ARU’s storytelling telling led directly to clicks, views and conversions. Impressive results made this campaign a standout in the category, as well as making the university a major player in the global distance learning landscape. One judge said this was a “great example of what modern, data-led campaign should look like.” Another praised the “exceptional performance marketing campaign that sets the standard for the category”

We’ve shown that with the right partners, ambition and smart, data driven strategy, a challenger brand like ARU can compete and win in the online learning space. It’s been an incredibly rewarding journey, and we’re excited for what’s next.

Throughout the campaign, we worked as an extension of ARU’s Distance Learning Marketing team, sharing insights, shaping landing page UX and tackling emerging attribution challenges in real-time. ground up, introducing event-based goals, cross-platform measurement and CRM integration for clear attribution from first touch to enrolment. This was paired with deep audience analysis. We mapped audience behaviours and aligned spend with course demand and seasonal trends.

ARU Distance Learning is now equipped with a powerful, scalable digital infrastructure. They’ve established marketing benchmarks and performance data to inform their future recruitment activities.

Silver: Best Use of Accessibility

Muscular Dystrophy UK

A silver award in the Accessibility category recognises the advancements in making our websites available for everyone, equally. MDUK partnered with Itineris to overhaul their digital presence. We transformed their website and brand identity into a highly accessible, intuitive home for their audience.

Our work with Muscular Dystrophy UK was an opportunity to use creative approaches to accessibility to enhance the visual and functional experience so that people with muscle wastage and weakening conditions can engage with the charity and the community. In doing this, we leveraged ARIA labels, screen-reader optimisation, concise tabbing paths, keyboard usability and navigation with anchor links. It’s designed for users with muscle weakness and limited dexterity, breaking down barriers while delivering content clearly and quickly.

From understanding us as a charity to the design, architecture and user journeys of all our audiences which range from healthcare professionals to people living with muscle wasting and weakening conditions.

The approach with the website has helped us tell impactful stories and we’ve made decisions that were really based on data and evidence. We were impressed with the strategic thinking, the creativity and the ability to work closely with our team.

Leanne Thorndyke, Director of Marketing and Communications at Muscular Dystrophy UK

The project’s goals included frictionless donations and improved user journeys. Since launch, the charity has seen a 157% year-on-year increase in online donation revenue and a significant rise in conversions. Increased engagement has elevated the success of fundraising events and visibility.

We’re delighted that our approach to accessibility has been marked with a deserved Silver award. One of the overlooked benefits of accessibility is that while features are essential for some users, the technologies and methods that enable accessibility also enhance the overall user experience for all.

A positive impact recognised

MD UKs audience is diverse and widespread.  The unique needs of people living with muscular dystrophy meant accessibility ws key to the organisation’s digital accessibility. It worked with Itineris to create an accessible site that encouraged fundraising, engagement and support. “The end-to-end focus on accessibility across the user journey is to be commended. The results show the success of this project both internally and in terms of lead generation,” said one judge.

In a crowded third-sector landscape, MDUK now stands out with a futureproof platform that reflects its ambition, strengthens fundraising and deepens connections with the community.
