East Anglia's Children's Hospices

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. Providing a wide range of services for patients and their families, the wonderful work of EACH has gained worldwide recognition and even attracted the support of HRH The Duchess of Cambridge and Ed Sheeran.

The challenge

The holistic care provided by EACH offers a lifeline for families at an incredibly difficult time and yet they rely almost entirely on voluntary donations for funding. The Hospice needs to raise almost £6 million per year to deliver their services, which equates to £16,000 every day of the year!

    The challenge was to design and develop a website that would be engaging, informative and reassuring for patients and families, but would also act as an agile marketing and income generation tool.

    We have created a world class, future-proof website that reflects the balance between providing information around care services and generating income via fundraising.

    A perfect reflection of the EACH brand online, the combination of their custom crayon style font and unique children’s drawings creates an appealing front-end website that is both engaging and easy-to-use.

    The responsive website is powered by a Sitefinity Content Management System that enables EACH to manage their whole website in-house. Functionality includes an online store, event management and a recruitment tool for staff and volunteers. The bespoke donations platform is fully integrated with their payment platform creating a seamless user experience and the shopping list approach helps motivate users to donate more.

  • Email marketing

    East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices utilise our in-house email marketing software Little Green Plane to create, send and track their digital campaigns. With a number of different responsive templates, optimised to the type of content being delivered, EACH’s campaigns have an average click through rate that far exceeds the industry average.

  • Results

    Within weeks of launching, the new EACH website was awarded Site of the Month as part of Sitefinity’s monthly awards scheme. This award was quickly followed by another accolade, winning Sitefinity Website of the Year in the Healthcare category.
