We are recruiting a measurement and insight specialist with experience in web analytics, media tracking and marketing technology, audits and quality assurance. You will also manage client relationships directly in relation to these technical aspects across a wide range of digital projects, including CRO campaigns.
Responsibilities and duties
This role carries responsibility for ensuring that the data we use to make marketing and investment decisions is accurate, and colleagues from all areas of expertise are equipped with the knowledge and tools to tell insightful and impactful data stories.
This role offers a lot of variety as you will be the insight specialist on a number of different project teams, working on a range of digital growth challenges for clients in various sectors. Projects will include digital design, web development, digital marketing/activation campaigns and conversion rate optimisation.
You will have the ambition and future potential to build and lead your own team, however please note that for the first 12-18 months the role will be 100% focused on implementation/delivery.
We’re looking for someone special – a highly intelligent analyst with good business and marketing sense, and the ability to present complex technical solutions simply and passionately to a range of clients and colleagues.
The successful candidate will have experience as the tracking/insight specialist on a range of digital projects, so it’s likely that you currently work at either a full-service digital agency or a specialist analytics shop. Your current job title may be Tracking Executive, Conversion Executive, Analytics Executive or Insight Executive, clearly indicating your specialist expertise.
Substantial experience using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager is essential, including audit, setup and configuration work for complex use cases (for example large sites, complex site portfolios or international sites, and transactional/ecommerce sites).
You will also have experience using Google Search Console, Google Data Studio, and platforms that enable CRO. Preferably this will be using Google Optimise, or alternatively VWO, Unbounce or similar. Experience with other measurement/insight tools is desirable including session recording and heatmapping tools such as FullStory and Hotjar.
You will have demonstrable experience of using data to improve user journeys, unlock higher returns from digital marketing campaigns, or focus design teams on the biggest opportunities to improve user experience.
Other requirements include:
- Experience working on multiple client accounts concurrently in a fast-moving agency environment
- Confidence in implementing measurement strategies that track and report on business and digital objectives
- Knowledge of fundamental web concepts (HTML/CSS, user experience, conversion theory)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Organisational and project management skills
- Excellent and accurate written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interest in new technologies and the digital industry
