Three new awards for digital creativity

Gold at the Communicator Awards

We have been awarded five awards at the Communicator Awards 2019. Our team scooped four gold Digital Excellence awards and one silver Digital Distinction accolade for our web work.

The Awards, which are judged by The Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA), honour excellence in marketing and communications.

Itineris wins five Communicator Awards 2019

AIVA is an invitation-only network of marketing and communications professionals. Its members include Conde Nast, Coach, Disney, Estee Lauder, Sotheby’s, Time, Inc, Victoria’s Secret, Wired, and Yahoo!

What are the Communicator Awards?

The Communicator Awards recognises work by award-winning full-service digital marketing agencies and in-house marketing departments. The projects transcend innovation and craft; work that makes a lasting impact. Previous winners have included Mercedes, Pepsi, Microsoft, American Eagle and Samsung.

Entries were scored on a 100 point scale. Excellence winners received a score of 90 or above and Distinction winners scored between 70 to 89. Take a look at our award-winning work below:

Milton Keynes College

Best Website User Experience
Digital Excellence (Gold)

Milton Keynes College offers a range of courses to learners around its three main campuses across Milton Keynes and Bletchley.

The College’s aim is to be the best general Further Education College in the country. And it also seeks to deliver the highest quality education to all learners. We designed and built a mobile-first website for the College, putting user experience at the heart of the project.

The site has helped position Milton Keynes College as a safe, innovative and inspiring place to learn in and work with.

Royal Air Force Museum

Best Cultural Institution Website
Digital Excellence (Gold)

The Royal Air Force Museum’s purpose is to tell the story of the RAF through its people and collections. Established in 1968, the RAF Museum is a national museum with two public sites. These are situated in Colindale, North-West London and Cosford in the West Midlands.

And each location offers a unique experience for visitors while encompassing the whole RAF story.  Our website for the Museum has helped establish it as one of the UK’s leading landmark destinations.

We also implemented a brand takeover of the Royal Air Force Museum site to mark the RAF’s 100th anniversary. Find out more about the uplift here.

Squared Online

Best Web User Interface
Digital Excellence (Gold)

Squared Online is a joint venture between AVADO Learning and Google. It offers agencies, individuals and professionals the chance to take Google’s six-week intensive digital training course completely online.

Squared Online was driven by the need to keep digital marketing talent up to speed with the latest advancements in tech.

Applying Google’s experienced-based teaching style, we helped create a new site for AVADO Learning. The new site acts as the go-to source for digital marketers looking to upgrade their digital knowledge. The course has been taken by over 8,500+ Squares from 3,000+ brands and agencies globally.

St Mungo’s

Best Social Responsibility Website
Digital Excellence (Gold)

St Mungo’s is one of the UK’s leading homelessness charities. It provides a bed and support to more than 2,800 people every night. They work directly to support people who are sleeping rough, in hostels or are at risk of homelessness.

We designed and built a new site for St Mungo’s on WordPress. This has helped them see significant increases in donation levels, event registrations and volunteer recruitment.

We recently also helped them raise funds through a user-generated content campaign to help raise awareness of homelessness.

GenCell

Best Energy Website
Digital Distinction (Silver)

GenCell provides fuel cell-based power solutions. This energy provides a reliable, scalable source of 5kW electricity to telecom companies, first responders and niche industrial markets. We created a new site to help transform it from an R&D company to a global, commercially-focused organisation.
