Jack of all trades and master of none?
When it comes to promoting your website the options are almost endless… but, what options do we have and, more importantly, which ones should we be doing?

To simplify this I have come up with a list of some of the more popular options to consider:
  • Email Marketing – little green plane, MailChimp, Campaign Monitor…
  • Social – LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+…
  • SEO/PPC
  • Video – YouTube, Vimeo…
  • Photo – Flickr, Instagram…
  • Print – Brochure, catalogues, leaflets, letters…
  • Telemarketing
Trying to take on all of these strands and implement them successfully is almost impossible, even for the largest marketing departments…  To get started I suggest focusing on one at a time. Whichever strand you choose do it the best you can for 30 days and measure your success…

Marketing often works the same way as life, you get out what you put in, so rather than do ten things badly do one thing really well!

It might sound like a simple approach to marketing, but, by taking a step back and doing one thing at a time you will be amazed how easy it all becomes.
