College website wins Interactive Media Award
IMA Winner in 2011 A website created for Oaklands College has just won an Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2011 Interactive Media Awards (IMA).

Itineris worked with the Hertfordshire-based College to provide an engaging website that offered a range of online services for the first time including course selection, a career toolkit, online enrolment, personalise prospectus and course baskets. Itineris' CMS i.content and also allowed the website to be fully integrated with Oakland's course management system, Unit-E.

Matt Horsup, head of sales and marketing at Itineris, said: "This award is a testament to the hard work and creativity both itineris and Oaklands College put into the project.

Key to its success was to use students as part of the innovative design and development process. This insight combined with our digital marketing skills allowed us to create a strategy that centred on maximising the website as an agile marketing tool as well as course selection and fulfilment."

The Oaklands College website, which received over 38,000 visits in its first three weeks of operation, scooped the gong under the IMA's 'education' section with an overall score of 476 out of 500. The IMA recognise the highest standards of excellence in website design and development and organisations for their outstanding achievement internationally.

The award comes just a few months after www.oaklands.ac.uk won the silver title in the website category at the FE First Awards 2011.

As the Head of Digital Marketing, Matt is responsible for creating the sales and marketing strategy for Itineris.
