The London Sustainable Development Commission (LSDC)
Simply excellent work, well done to all the team for delivering on time and under budget.
Bryony Mathie, Senior Policy Officer - Sustainable Development
Brief
The aim for the new website was to assist in the recruitment of individual experts from the economic, social, environmental and London governance sectors, therefore helping make sustainability a meaningful and understandable concept for all Londoners.
Fulfilment
The Commission wanted to launch the London Leaders programme to catalyse change - the kind of change that is needed to tackle London's most ingrained problems.
The website was further developed to inspire people to become London Leaders incorporating copy, images and video. We designed and built the site utilising our i.content Content Management System (CMS) a website that allowed the Commission to manage all activity including applications to become a London Leader and membership modules for the London Leaders Network.
Additionally, we created CMS-powered interactive flash-based tool to help explain 'Virtual Cycle Thinking', a method of exploring the factors that influence sustainability within London.
Website highlights:
- A new engaging website with i.Content® CMS and flash-based interactive sustainability discovery tool
- Suite of communication materials for the London Leaders campaign programme and further development for ramp-up of activity
- Successful launch to world's press by former Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, at City Hall with International BBC/ITV press coverage
- Scripting, directing, filming, editing and final production of two powerful launch videos, 12 London Leader profile videos and a further video demonstrating activities over the last 12 months
- Effective ongoing email marketing newsletters through the use of our email marketing platform, little green plane
- Website feature include: streaming videos, secure area, forum, image galleries, leaders application and approval
The new website has shown a year on year increase in traffic of 300%.
