Brief
The Business Map is an initiative led by the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) - the driving force behind sustainable economic development and growth in the region.
The requirement was to produce an informative website that provided quick and easy access to advice and support on a regular basis for businesses in the east of England.
Fulfilment
Based on the style of Harry Beck's famous 1931 diagrammatic map for the London underground, the map is designed to help businesses in the east of England navigate the network of business support.
The website was designed and built to provide a rich source of information to its diverse range of audiences in a interactive an engaging manner.
Each 'line' represents a different area of support or advice. From increasing sales to employing staff, maximising growth opportunities to finding the right source of finance. Each 'station' offers you sources of help or advice to get businesses on the right track.
Website highlights:
- Case study module
- Document and image management
- News module
- Event promotion module
- Enterprise hub module
- Streaming video
- Interactive flash animation / navigation
- Additionally, the site incorporates a members area, allowing EEDA partners to download sensitive resources that are not in the public domain

Using the power of little green plane, our email marketing product, EEDA are able to continually communicate with their audiences through segmented and target campaigns, therefore driving further traffic to their website.
