A new website goes live for Cambridgeshire Horizons
We are really delighted to what has been achieved online, and we are finding the simplicity of updating the site really encourages us to keep the content current.
Laura Halstead, Communications Manager
Brief
To design a new website which would be the key online resource for bringing together all information required by local agencies, statutory bodies and developers to co-ordinate growth in the county effectively, at the same time as providing local people with easy-to-understand information about the growth agenda.
Fulfilment
The new website was designed to be focal point for local agencies, statutory bodies and developers to co-ordinate growth in the county effectively, as well as a one-stop-shop for local people to find out more about major new development sites.
i.Content is the driving force of the new website, which supports a plethora of live information including project information, interactive maps, blogs, twitter, latest news and regional events - all managed totally by the Cambridgeshire Horizons team.
One interactive aspect of the new site is the Chief Executives' blog, which allows a senior figure to get closer to a wide range of people and open communication lines via both written copy and video content.
Since going live, the new site is now receiving an increase in traffic of over 260%, with the Chief Executive's blog consistently registering as one of the most popular pages.
Feedback from both stakeholders and local people has been excellent; praising the simplicity of navigation and mix of words, pictures and video.
Using the power of little green plane, our email marketing product, Cambridge Horizons is able to continually communicate with its audience, therefore driving further traffic to the website. Each email campaign is easily tracked and the effectiveness of the campaign reported.
