A website and digital strategy created by St Elizabeth Hospice and Suffolk-based digital marketing agency Itineris has been recognised with an Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2011 Interactive Media Awards (IMAs).
Itineris worked with St Elizabeth Hospice to provide a new multi-channel online presence to demonstrate the day-to-day work of the charity. The project included a re-design to its main website, two live auction microsites, event microsites as well as a series of ongoing email marketing campaigns.
St Elizabeth Hospice scooped the gong under the IMA's 'advocacy' section with an overall score of 471 out of 500. The Outstanding Achievement Award represents an international high standard of planning, execution and overall professionalism in interactive media.
Matt Horsup, head of sales and marketing at Itineris, said: "The new site needed to enhance the visitor experience, increase support and sponsorship and provide as much relevant information about the charity as possible in a visually pleasing format. We are proud to be recognised for this work with an international IMA award. More importantly though, we have helped provide the opportunity for people to see into the heart of the charity for the first time, which for many can be an initially daunting and uncertain experience."
To date, the website, microsites and email marketing campaigns devised by Itineris have helped the Hospice raise over £280,000, alongside other marketing initiatives.
Helen Causer, marketing and communications manager for St Elizabeth Hospice said: "The integrated digital campaign has made a significant difference by providing a window into the charity that supporters may not have had before. It offers our new and existing supporters the chance to gain greater insights into the important work we undertake in providing palliative care throughout Suffolk. The fact that the work has been recognised on an international scale is testament to the hard work the Itineris team invested into our project."
The award comes just a few months after www.stelizabethhospice.org.uk was shortlisted in the digital category of the national Chartered Institute of Marketing Excellence Awards.
